Chrome mysteriously disappeared for me. The shortcut was blank so I decided that I needed to uninstall and reinstall. I have Windows 10 and only had the Edge browser. Every time I tried to download Chrome using Edge, I got stuck on 'waiting to download' forever. I tried the other solutions on this forum and they didn't work. Meanwhile in edge and firefox everything is working perfectly. I have tried all 'fixes' ranging from registry edits, google's DNS, flushing my dns, installing the most recent drivers and fucking around with the settings in chrome itself. For some reason opening up my command prompt causes chrome to load pages for just a couple of seconds.
I have been working to resolve these issues since I started our Windows 10 rollout. We have been auditing several solutions, but have run into issues with on premise AD/ (hybrid solution) and on premise applications paired with hosted applications. There does not seem to be a robust solution to handle all of the variables we are looking at.
Microsoft Edge Fix It Tool
My experience:
Chrome And Edge Not Working Status_invalid_image_hash
1. Edge only handles SSO with a Microsoft account reliably. There are still the issues I mentioned above.
2. Chrome does not play well with AD or SSO unless you have the Google ADM/ ADMX solutions. Google does have a paid solution, but part of my role is to keep it cheap.
